Born in the Soviet Union, she bears acute dislike of Big Brother.  The main attraction of the British legal system for her was its fairness, respect for Human Rights and the rule of law. Against all odds and unfavourable trends, she fights to keep it this way.

Helena represents clients in the more complex immigration cases which often involve requests for the exercise of discretion. She has helped several generations of clients from initial applications for entry clearance to British citizenship. She handles both non-contentious and contentious work and represents clients in immigration appeals and applications for Judicial Review.

She runs trainings for other immigration practitioners under the auspices of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association.

Helena’s academic qualifications include LLM in EU Law (UCL) and BA in Classics from Birkbeck College and UCL.
