We will be happy to help you with any kind of family reunion application, including applications for the fiancé(e), spouse or unmarried partner of a British citizen or of someone with indefinite leave to remain in the UK. We can help with the visa applications for children and, in exceptional circumstances, applications for adult dependent relatives.
If you are a British citizen and adopting a child abroad you may need specialist help to register the child as a British citizen or to apply for a visa to bring the child over to the UK.
How we can help
We offer various packages of services depending on your specific needs.
Document checking service
Document checking service is a budget option allowing you to run your application past us before you submit it to the Home Office. We will send you a list of documents required for your type of application and will give you feedback on the documents, normally within three days of receiving the documents from you.
Document checking plus
This option will add a follow-up consultation with the caseworker who will answer your questions or concerns in relation to the application in addition to the feedback provided on receipt of your documents.
Acting as your representatives
We can accept your instructions and act as your representatives in any immigration application. This will include taking initial instructions and providing a custom-made list of documents reflecting your specific circumstances. We will prepare a complete application with legal representations in support of the case making sure it meets the requirements. We will advise you in advance if there may be any potential issues with the application and give you guidance on how to maximise your chances of success where the situation is complex.
Most family immigration applications are now made online. It does not matter if you are applying for entry clearance (an application made from abroad) or for extension of stay (an application made within the UK). We can help in either case.
How to instruct us
If you would like to instruct us, let us have a chat on the phone first. We would like to make sure you are aware of the requirements and there are no hindrances to a successful application. Once we know your circumstances, we will give you an accurate quote. There are no hidden costs or additional fees.
If there are any risks involved, we would recommend a more extensive initial consultation. This is because we need to have a clear idea of your circumstances and you need to be aware of the challenges and understand how we propose to deal with them.
Not every real-life situation is covered by the Immigration Rules. Sometimes, we have to deal with complex cases and ask the Home Office to exercise discretion. If you feel you are in difficulty it is certainly worth checking with us if we may be able to help you.
What about visitors?
Along with applications for settlement, we can also advise on the best course of action in visitor visa applications. These applications can be really challenging. Especially if the applicant is coming from a “high-risk country” (the Home Office keeps the list secret, but we can guess which countries are on the list), or if the applicant struggles to show incentive to go back.
Where the outcome is very important, or where there are grounds for concerns and you want to ensure maximum chances of success, we may act as your representatives in an application for a visitor visa.
Family members of European citizens
Family members of EU citizens can still apply for a family permit to join the EU citizen in the UK.
A significant proportion of our family immigration work is related to European rights. We help EEA nationals and their family members with applications for settled or pre-settled status, as well as applications for an EEA family permit or permanent residence.
Family members of migrant workers and students
If your application is important and you cannot take any risks, we are the lawyers you are looking for. We are waiting to hear from you!
